With the final lesson under my belt, I’ve finally made it to my 30th day. The course has been a blessing. This blog has too. There isn’t anything bad I can say about the course. Here’s what I took away from Gina Horkey’s 30 Days or Less to Freelance Writing Success. more “My Sweet November: Day 30 Reaching the Destination“
It feels a lot like the last day of school. I’ve arrived at the final lesson in Gina Horkey’s 30 Days or Less to Freelance Writing Success. At this point, I’ve learned all I need to make it in this industry.
A few days ago, I made an unscheduled post, the first not directly tied to this project. In it, I talked a lot about my plans for December. Instead of posting every day, I’ll fill this time with pitching. I set a goal of sending out ten pitches daily. more “My Sweet November: Day 29 Become an Affiliate“
You wouldn’t believe how many times I’ve pitched to ads asking me to send in my resume. Before starting this course, 30 Days or Less to Freelance Writing Success, I thought they wanted to see my regular resume. more “My Sweet November: Day 28 Writing a Solid Writing Resume“
Diversifying your online business opens up income streams you wouldn’t otherwise have access to. Expanding your business is a no-brainer. For example, this WordPress struggle I’ve been on has me seriously thinking about writing a course and offering Web design services as part of my business’ offerings.
In 27 days, I’ve already opened up another possible income stream other than writing and editing. Whether or not I choose to take my business there, the option exists. more “My Sweet November: Day 27 Diversify Your Business“
As you sit down to dinner tonight, surrounded by loved ones, think about what you want to be thankful for next year. It’s easy to find the good in the last 365 days.
The best way to show your gratitude for your blessings is to appreciate them. Work for your goals and set new ones. There’s only one way to growth, forward.
This year, I give thanks for my new business. It’s not where I want it to be, but I’m 100% better off than I was this time last year. For that alone, I smile.
And now, I’ll share with you what I learned from Lesson 29: On Blogging and Email Lists. more “My Sweet November: Day 26 Happy Thanksgiving!“
In Lesson 28: Hire a Mentor, Gina says she began working with a mentor from the very beginning. I keep thinking I should do this, but I’m not exactly sure whether or not I should pursue it right now.
Taking on this project means that other things get pushed back. The mentor thing is one of them. Ideally, I’d love to work with Gina because she’s exactly where I want to be in seventeen months. I just haven’t approached her, yet.
Anyway, here’s what I learned from today’s lesson in 30 Days or Less to Freelance Writing Success. more “My Sweet November: Day 25 How to Hire a Mentor“
