I sat and sat in front of a white screen for longer than I care to admit. It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen. It’s not that I’m not prepared. I have an outline a mile long for crying out loud. I’ve moved and moved and erased until I thought I was there and ready to shoot for the moon and all that jazz.
In working on my upcoming course this week, I was briefly reminded of why I’m doing all of this in the first place. It was only for a fleeting moment that it whooshed over me and left.
But the weight of it, the memories and the feelings that soon followed carried me over to another land, somewhere I once knew the value of my why, the reason that kept me hustling. I’m glad I’m still there. more “Here’s the Real Reason for Your Why What I Learned This Week“
I’m just starting to get myself back in the scheme of things. After taking time off to gather myself, to stabilize my life in terms of my health, I’m back.
This week’s lesson came from several false starts of me trying and failing to get this site back up and write a few articles I’ve been commissioned to do. These required research – tons of it – and a solid block of time with which to organize everything. Stoked to be doing it in the first place, I was more than a little disappointed when it all fell apart each day I tried to execute my plan of attack.
I won’t go into details about what happened. They simply don’t matter to the overall message of this post, which is: If it doesn’t move you forward, don’t focus your energy on it. Let it go. Easier said than done, I know. But hear me out. more “That Which You Feed Will Grow What I Learned This Week“
I haven’t done one of these in such a long time that I almost forgot why I used to do them at all. Bottom line, it reminds me that the lessons I’ve learned are real. This piddly, little exercise in regurgitating the week’s nonsense seems lame sometimes. But then I remember that one John Oliver makes a load of dough while doing just that. So, here I go. I’ll now stop freelancing with blurred lines. Maybe. more “Freelancing With Blurred Lines Sounds Cool…and THAT’S about It! What I Learned This Week from Working as a VA“
What a week it’s been!
I started off ready for my next frontier. Goal in mind, and drive in heart, I hit it hard to try and figure out the best way to launch my newest offering, Coaching Services. I can’t believe how much I underestimated every part of the process.
But it’s done. And I’m glad.
While I’m excited about the potential for growing my business by further diversifying it, I’m most excited about the thought of actually helping others. I remember how hard it was for me and how much work it took for me just to launch this site! I did it, though. And honestly, I don’t regret a minute of it! more “Launching New Products Is Hard but Absolutely Worth It! What I Learned This Week“
It’s a ridiculous notion, a paradox. But I swear to you that it’s 100% true. When you have you own online business, life continues to move on around you. There’s no clear way to compartmentalize your job. more “The Worst and the Best Can Happen to You In the Same Week What I Learned This Week from Working as a VA“
I can’t yet call myself a seasoned pro at the virtual assisting game. But I decided to borrow an idea from someone else and give it a try.
Every week I’ll bring you an insight into the lesson I learned in my profession. I hope each of these will offer you some perspective and help you to conquer your struggles in building your online business. more “Treat Your Own Business Like It’s Your Client What I Learned This Week from Working as a VA“
